Tasmap / About

Hello, I'm Eddie, builder of Tasmap. I hope you like this product.

I want to share some thoughts about maps with you: Don't you think that when people look at a map, what they think about and experience often far exceeds the geographical information?

Aragorn looked at a map, perhaps thinking about how many dangers and obstacles awaited him.

Alexander looked at a map, thinking about his expedition to the other side of the map.

Genghis Khan would circle a large circle on the map, saying, "This is our Mongol steppe."

You look at a map of your hometown, thinking about all the things that have happened there.

Maps have never been just geographical tools. Frankly, maps these days are terrible. I don't want to engage in pointless comparisons; both Google Maps and Apple Maps are great tools that support our daily lives. But don't you think all maps are... boring? They all look the same, filled with noisy ads, tons of algorithms, feeling like something you bought wholesale from a store. Your map isn't truly yours, but making your own is too difficult. What to do? Tasmap exists specifically to address this problem.

With Tasmap, you can create a beautiful, personalized map. It can be a pilgrimage map, a cherry blossom map, a local government construction project map, a shopping street map, an exhibition map, a current events map, or anything you want to express on a map.

Give it a try! Build a beautiful map.
